Something moves in the forest outside the window every night at 10.p.m. A blurry shadow rushes between the trees always in the corner of my eye. I've lived in this house for a week now. Every night at the same hour the same shadow comes back. Expectant but reluctant to show itself. I always thought It was an animal, but animals don't keep track of time. The food I left for it was untouched with little tiny bones sparkled around it like little presents. I am ready to see it today. I can't wait for it to show itself any longer. I am afraid of what it is. A stalker? A bear? Is it something else? I have my backpack with me today, my flashlight, my mountain boots on. Today is the day we find out what It is. But I'm afraid. Will you come with me? [[Maybe we should call the police -> CallPolice]] [[Life is for the unafraid -> Yolo]] [[You have seen this thing every day since you moved? -> questions]]//She is panicking looking outside the window where the shadow moved. She is not looking at you, you can't sign to her.// [[Shake her so she focused on you ->Shake her]] [[There is no time to waste -> Leave]]She is not looking at you at first, but reacts to your signs about a gun. "No, We don't have a gun here. I never wanted to take part in that cultural concept and..." You interrupt her waving your hands. [[Something similar to a gun? Any weapons]]Taking action you take her hand and dash towards the stairs. The street lights flood the house through an open hole in the wall. So much for telling her my feelings today. Why would I ever think she would invite me here just to hangout. //Midway down the stairs you notice something moving. You stare at the blackness of the livingroom.// [[The monster stares back]]I thought that was clear when I called you. I'm sorry if you thought otherwise. I don't mean for you to be scared or anything. She puts the walkie-talkie in your hands. (set: $walkie to true) [[//(While talking in her room a rushing sound came from the forest. A loud "crash" sounded against the walls of the ground floor. Something hit the side of the house)// -> creatureCrash]] //You grab the walkie-talkie. The alarm sound is loud and annoying, but that's a good thing in this situation. If she is not looking at you she wouldn't be able to understand ASL so this is a good way to draw her attention// (set: $walkie to true) //You look at her, smiling back. This will be useful later// [[//(While talking in her room a rushing sound came from the forest. A loud "crash" sounded against the walls of the ground floor. A loud "crash" sounded against the walls of the ground floor. Something hit the side of the house)// -> creatureCrash]]Yeah... Maybe you are right. I love you, but... Someone without a voice can't scream for help I guess. I have called the police before, they didn't find anything of importance. The third time I called they fined me for misuse of their time. I don't want to bother them anymore for what's probably something my mind made up. [[//(While talking in her room a rushing sound came from the forest. A loud "crash" sounded against the walls on the ground floor. Something hit the side of the house)// -> creatureCrash]](She smiles at you) Thank you. I have prepared something for you to alert me if you see anything. (She hands you a walkie-talkie) You can't talk with it, obviously, being mute and all, but with this button, you can sound an alarm in both of the walkie-talkies. That way I could find you. [[Are we going our separate ways?]] [[Thank you]] [[...]]Yeah, that thing is always in the forest at 10 p.m sharp. That's why I think it's not an animal. [[(Worried for her) Has somebody else seen it?]] [[Is not an animal? What do you think It is?]] [[We should really call the police then... -> CallPolice]] //(For a fraction of a second you saw It as well. A huge shadow in the corner of your eye, rushing towards the house. It was not in her head after all)// She looks at you terrified. [[We have to get out of here... I saw it too]] [[Do you have a gun?]] [[(Grab her hand and run)]]No... I asked my neighbours but... I believe they think I'm crazy by now. They don't look at me the same... It's been a... a stressful couple of weeks. [[//(While talking in her room a rushing sound came from the forest. A loud "crash" sounded against the walls of the ground floor. Something hit the side of the house)// -> creatureCrash]]I don't really know. A person? But the figure is bigger than that. The police came before and they couldn't find anything. No marks, no cigarets buts or anything like that. I am starting to think is all in my imagination... This house is messing with me somehow. [[(Hug her)]] [[Don't worry. I'm here to help you -> Yolo]] Thank you for coming. I don't think I would be brave enough if you hadn't come. [[//(While talking in her room a rushing sound came from the forest. A loud "crash" sounded against the walls of the ground floor. Something hit the side of the house)// -> creatureCrash]]She snaps back to reality but she is crying. There are noises downstairs, something is in the house. Something big. [[(Grab her hand and run)]] [[Leave her here -> Leave]] [[Do you have a gun?]]//You start walking out of the room without her. // She is still looking out the window, catatonic, crying. You can hear people outside, they heard the noise, they will come to help her. You hope so at least. Something is in the house but you run anyways. [[You run for your life->The End]]She looks around. She appears to suddenly realize something and after pulling stuff frantically from her backpack she took out an army knife from one of the pockets. She opens it and pulls out a tiny knife. "This is all I have" [[Keep the knife. Stay safe-> paceful]] [[(Take the knife) -> assertive]] [[Give me the knife. I will protect you -> protective]]She nods. There are noises downstairs. Something is crashing and breaking every piece of furniture in the house. Something big, something too big to be normal. She looks at you pale. She holds out the knife trembling and moves towards the stairs. She freezes, looking downstairs. //You walk up to her and look down.// [[The monster stares back]](set: $knife to true) She lets go of the knife. She looks relieved you took it. You take her hand and you walk out the room. You look downstairs. [[The monster stares back]](set: $knife to true) She gives you the knife. She looks relieved you took it. You take her hand and you walk out the room. You look downstairs. [[The monster stares back]]Hundreds of red small beady eyes stare back at you. A creautre twice the size of a bear, long black fur furling and unfurling all around its body at the rythm of its heavy breaths. A small smile forms in the creature's mouth, or that's what you feel, you can't find it anywhere. Is there even a head? No one is moving. Both of were holding your breaths instinctively, but it's been 30 seconds. Eventually one of you will have to breath out again and the creature will attack. You know the creature will kill you, the same way you know tomorrow is Thursday or that you love her, you know it will happen. [[Breathe out]] (if:$walkie is true)[You remember the walkie-talkie. The loud noise it makes. This might be your only chance. [[Use the walkie-talkie]]] (if:$knife is true)[You remember the knife in your hand [[Use the knife]]] Slowly you take out your walkie-talkie and press the alarm button while throwing it downstairs to the other side of the house. A blaring alarm blares out of it. The creature looks at you due to your sudden movement, but quickly focuses on the walkie-talkie and starts chasing the sound. You take her hand and start running outside. People are gathering around the house to see the giant hole in the wall. They won't think she is crazy anymore. You both run for hours, far away, until you end up on the beach. She is still not talking. You sit her down on the sand and sit next to her. You both hug while the sun rises. [[The End]]You throw the knife at him. The knife hits the creature in one of its many eyes. The creature growls like thousands of tiny laughing voices. It's angry. With a jump It goes for you. You push your friend down the stairs just in time. In a fraction of a second the creature jumps 3 meters towards you. Impressive for something so big. It crashes in the second floor. You can see now where its mouth is, is right here, in front of you. You can see a piece of wood from the destroyed railing piecing your stomach. Your friend tumbles down the stairs but you can see how she stands up, She is okay. A warm liquid runs out of your stomach. But she is standing up, she is okay, she survives this. The pain fades as the creature laughs with thousands of tiny voices. She is looking at you, she is crying. She signs "I love you" to you and runs out the house. //You smile// You can hear people gathering outside, but that's okay, you don't really care anymore. You feel numb but happy. Only the good remains while the creature embraces you. [[The End]]The end of the story for now. Hope you liked it ❤The creature starts moving upstairs, slowly. It wants you both, no need to rush it. Its long fur drags through the stairs, moving like tiny tendrils feeling its surroundings. Its size breaks the railing. Its weight sinks the floor. One step after the other It comes for you. You both stare at it. Paralyzed but not by choice. Something about its gaze compels you to wait, to see what's underneath the thick black fur, like a child that wants to pull a rug to see what's underneath. The creature stands tall behind you. You can only pull the fur and find out what's underneath. [[Pull the rug ->The End]]
